Computer Diagnostic Service

£65.00 Full hardware and software diagnostic with a written report.

Not sure what’s wrong with your computer? This standalone diagnostic service is designed for those facing multiple issues or intermittent faults that aren’t easily pinpointed.

What’s included:

  • A full hardware diagnostic of your PC or laptop using professional-grade testing tools
  • Identification of any failing components or underlying hardware faults
  • A written invoice report outlining all findings
  • Professional recommendation on the best course of action – whether it’s repair, upgrade, or replacement

Why choose a standalone diagnostic?

Unlike our fixed fee repair service, which assumes a clear, solvable issue within our general scope, this diagnostic service is perfect for cases where the root cause isn’t obvious — or you suspect there may be several issues at play. It provides clarity and confidence before committing to any repair work. If you proceed with a repair through us, this fee may be deducted from your total at our discretion.

Whether you’re at home or running a small business, our fixed fee repair \ support service ensures that you know exactly what you’ll pay – no matter how long it takes us to resolve your issue.Any software or hardware repair, labour included (parts extra)

Quick Fix Fee

£59.00 - For Support that takes 30mins or less

Our Quick Fix rate covers any job that takes 30 minutes or less to resolve. It’s designed to give you fast, affordable support without paying the full General Computer & Tech Support fee for shorter visits.

Priority Same Day Visit

+£40 Surcharge on top of normal fee

Most issues are resolved on the first visit, and if not, we’ll clearly explain why and outline the next steps before leaving. Priority slots fill quickly, so please contact us early if you need urgent help — same-day bookings carry a £40 surcharge. For emergencies outside normal hours, evening and weekend support is available by arrangement, with a £60 after-hours surcharge.

Setup & Installations

Whether you’ve bought a new computer, printer, or want your smart tech installed properly, we’ll handle everything from start to finish — data transfer, email setup, network configuration, and system optimisation.

New Computer Setup

£155 Onsite / £95 Collect & Return

  • File transfer from standard folders (Documents, Desktop, etc.)
  • Office install (with your licence)
  • Email setup (logins required)
  • Printer connection (if compatible)

You’ll need to be present to provide access details.
We don’t transfer programs apart from commonly used ones like zoom, teams, one drive and antivirus. Others must be reinstalled with original setup files and keys and is down to the client to do so.

To help us tailor the setup:

  • List key apps
  • Flag important files (especially outside standard folders)
  • Mention any settings you’d like preserved

Further troubleshooting or file organisation is charged at our standard hourly rate. Tuition is also charged extra

Home Network Support

£59.00 Inspection | £85 Per Hour To Fix

If you’re dealing with weak Wi-Fi or patchy internet around the house, we offer a detailed on-site assessment for £59 to diagnose the issue and recommend a tailored solution. Common fixes include improving signal in problem areas, resolving frequent dropouts, reconnecting devices to the router, and setting up or optimising mesh systems. Complex installations are quoted separately.

New Printer Install

£59 Install and setup of a brand new Printer

For new printers, setup costs £59 — this includes unpacking, connecting to Wi-Fi, and getting your devices printing. Older printers may incur a higher charge due to the increased likelihood of setup issues.

Hourly IT Support

£85 Per Hour - Onsite or remote support for business clients.

Pay per hour for onsite or remote work – invoices are due on the day of completed work.

Block Hour IT Support

From £65 Per Hour when purchasing support hours in bulk

Buy hours upfront and use them for both remote and onsite work – we will give you a breakdown of hours used after each job.

Day Rate IT Support

£350 Daily Engineer Rate

This rate is ideal for:

  • Multi-system repairs or upgrades

  • Office setups, migrations, or new installations

  • Network rebuilds, cabling, or hardware deployments

  • Smart tech installations spanning multiple locations or devices

Each day includes up to 8 hours of onsite engineer time, plus light preparation and documentation.
Travel within East Sussex is included; additional mileage or materials may be quoted separately.

  2. We reply with a fixed fee quote and available appointment slots.
  3. You confirm, and we arrive as scheduled. If we’re running late, we’ll update you.
  4. We carry out the agreed service, and take payment via cash or card—no fuss.

 

Note: Cranfield IT Solutions is a mobile service—we come to you. We don’t operate a walk-in shop, and our offices aren’t open to the public.

Our expertise lies in Microsoft systems and smart tech setups. We offer limited support for Apple devices happy to provide basic guidance, but they’re not a core part of our service offering.
